As our world keeps on getting more and more connected, it requires a greater amount of energy. But getting that amount of power without exhausting the world's resources it's a huge challenge.
A great way to generate that massive power is to harness the energy of the sun. Solar electric panels may be nothing new but their future surely looks bright.
Solar energy is power source that has the potential of providing us with the energy we need for the next decades. Many reasons exist to help solar power trumps over other sources of energy and not only because is causes less pollution.; among them:
A Much Cleaner Environment
They say that solar power equipment produces very little or not pollution at all and it's clear that this is true. Can solar energy eradicate greenhouse emissions?
I don't think so because the world is not ready yet to adopt only photovoltaic solar energy. There's simply not enough solar plants to provide us all. At least not yet. So for the foreseeable future we will still require other sources of energy; but the use of solar power over oil it's beginning to make a difference.
Less Blackouts
Since more houses are installing their own mini-power plants using solar energy there's a smaller chance of a general blackout.
And now imagine this: What if you connect all those miniplants together? You would get a much redundant power grid! Since you would have multiple sources of energy the general working flow would be much stronger
It's a new way of thinking: moving from just consumers to providers
If you think this is almost science-fiction think about this: some smart companies are proposing to use a translucent liquid that installed in your own windows have the potential of generating electricity (in a similar way your photovoltaic panels would).
Amazing isn't it?
Money Making Opportunities
With this new way of thinking you can quickly benefit of being a power provider. Selling the excess energy you produce back to your local energy company it's the obvious way.
An What About Installation Costs?
Unfortunately, photovoltaic solar panels can be quite expensive. Actually, regular commercial solar panels can cost up to $30,000. But nowadays the technology has been simplified that you may find guides about how to create your own solar panels for less than $300 (really).
