If you are an aspiring artist or a veteran artist then you need to pay close attention this article. You can either trust in others and try to get a record deal or take matters into your own hands! There are pros and cons to each approach. You must choose which is best for you.

Let's discuss the major advantages and disadvantages to both.

These two courses of action are very different when you choose to pursue getting signed to a major deal or to promote your music on your own. When trying to get signed that must be your focus, all your energy and promotional skills must be to get the attention of the label and rep. An A&R rep is the person that represents you to the label, gets your deal and is often repsonsible for you. Everything you do must push you into the forefront of this persons mind. For example, you may want to contact every label and make a list of reps. You may want to have a large party at a club and invite all A&R representatives to watch you play-rap-sing. If you do manage to get an offer, you will have to hire an attorney/manager to help with your career. Doing this will bring your income down from 100% to 70% You have to promote your music the entire time you are doing this. Don't stop promoting your music and tracks!

The upside to a deal is spectacular. From the start you will get funds to complete your project most likely including a music video. You will get this in the form of a recoupable advance. Remember that this is not free money, you owe this back to the label. Whatever you happen to make it will ultimately go back to the label in your royalty statement. You will get massive exposure only IF .... IF the record label gets behind your project.

The bad part of getting a deal are many. There will be tons of other musicians on the label that will have to do better than. You can expect your schedule of tracks released will be the labels will, and not yours. If you are an act that releases product oftent than this method will slow you down. You will still benefit if you promote your must through the entire length of the deal. What if the label has another larger project coming down their pipeline of releases. Labels need to make money and your type of music may not be as commercially viable as others. You immediately must show much sales or you will get lost in the shuffle. And, lastly, but every important, you will get way less money as an artist, sometimes as low as an 8% deal. If you do not want your deal to end, you must consistenly make $$ for the label.

Second, by taking it all on your own, your career is controlled by you and you can see immediate results. You must promote your music even more that with a label behind you. Consider this your job and get serious about it. You must do this part or even full time to be successful. Employ help from everyone around you, do what you have to do to rally up your troops! This is an approach that you must get into , to make work.

The upside to taking this approach is astounding. For example, you immediately get a large % of all your sales… in fact, if you do things correctly you get 100%. You do not need to hire an attorney, or a manager. You are your own boss and you will make all of your own decisions. You will have your own release schedule and you are able to put tracks and albums out whenever you want. All merchandising will be owned by you which means more money in your pocket. This is the best situation for artists.

The tough side of handling it all on your own is it is easy to get depressed and you have littel feedback besides sales to keep you going. You will have less time to work on music and you will have many jobs to do on your own. You can only blame you if things don't go correctly , and you must always promote your music or you may not make it.

Whichever way you choose to go, you must keep a few things in mind

- Promote your music . It doesn't matter which route you go, you can control this.

- Seek legal help when things are over your head. You will probably need this if you get a major deal.

- Watch your manager like a hawk. They MUST do something for you in order to move you forward..

Please be careful in whatever your decision is. Whatever you choose, industry mogul , or superstar artist you will need to be extremely patient.

The guitar is a stringed musical instrument that is played by plucking or strumming the strings, while the fingers hold down the strings in certain combinations, to play the notes. Most guitars have six strings that are tuned on the scale E A D G B E. There are two broad categories of guitars today, acoustic and electric.

Acoustic guitars have hollow bodies, called sound boxes, which produce the sound, and thus do not need amplification. However, some modern ones do come with the electronics so that it can be connected to an amplifier. On the other hand, the body of an electric guitar is solid on only semi-hollow and needs to be connected to an amplifier to be heard.

Thanks to the electronics you can produce all kinds of effects and sounds with an electric guitar that is very hard or impossible to reproduce on an acoustic guitar. Samples of the special effects that can be produced on an electric guitar are: distortion, wah, phasers, compression, vibrato, flanging and chorus effect. These effects cause the sound produced by the same note to be different. For example:

- Distortion effect. This will produce a distorted and very heavy sound, as often used in heavy metal and rock music.

- Wah effect. The frequency of the note goes up and down each time you hit the foot pedal.

- Flanging effect. This effect causes a pause in the signal, followed by a series of the note originally played, sounding like an echo.

The guitar is used to play almost any kind of music, and is usually a big part of the music played by a band. Learning to play a guitar can be exciting and is a great way to entertain yourself and your friend.

When you decide to learn to play the guitar you will also have to learn tablatures and sheet music. Guitar sheet music is useful to guide you when learning to play the guitar, as you just have to follow the notes and tablatures illustrated on the sheet music. It is a great tool to help you play your guitar. By practicing frequently and being dedicated to learning the notes, you will soon be playing like an expert.

Guitar Secrets

playelectricguitar.com-full-reviews.info

Before we get into Electric Guitar Lessons for Beginners here is a brief history:-

The Electric guitar is the "jonny-come-lately" of the guitar world. It has only been with us for just over 70 years. For example the Acoustic and Classical guitars have been around for a long, long time - far longer than the Electric guitar. The electric guitar was 'born" in the 1930"s. The creator of the original electric guitar was Adolf Rickenbacker

When first conceived, electric guitars used tungsten pickups. These converted the vibration of the strings into electric current. This current is then fed into the amplifier to produce the sound. By using pickups it was possible to create guitars without soundholes (which acoustic and classical guitars have) that had the ability to be heard, when plugged into amplifiers. These are called solid body guitars.

It was during the 1930's and 40's that the music of the Big Bands began to flourish. At that time the jazz bands had loud brass sections which meant the guitars of the day were barely audible. But having the ability of its sound to be amplified, the electric guitar came into its own. From that time on the electric guitar's popularity has increased enormously and continues to do so to this day.

It was in 1941, that the late great guitarist Les Paul invented the solid body guitar - a guitar made of solid rectangular block of wood with no sound holes. Over time the rectangular shape has evolved into a more rounded shape the exists even to this day.

Then, during the 1950s, the Gibson company released the Les Paul guitar to the world. The Gibson Les Paul guitar, as it was, and still is, known today, quickly became a very popular electric guitar. It dominated that market having remained the most popular guitar for 50 years.

It was also in the "famous forties" that, another inventor named Leo Fender produced a solid body guitar of his own. In the late 1940s, Fender introduced the Fender Broadcaster Electric guitar. The Broadcaster, later renamed the Stratocaster, was officially released to the public in 1954. The Strat, as it is now known, was a very different guitar compared to the" Les Paul". It had a different shape, different hardware and was significantly lighter. Fender's Stratocaster guitar is the second most popular guitar in the world, second to only the Les Paul. It is indeed a very fine instrument.

DISCOVER The SECRETS Of GUITAR LESSONS For BEGINNERS

Learning to play the Electric guitar as a beginner can be a most rewarding musical experience.

Selecting your first electric guitar will depend mainly on the type of music you want to play and your budget. An easy way to go about it is to simply buy the same guitar brand and model that your guitar hero owns or plays. Either way, before buying your first electric guitar, there are a few things you should consider. Below are the main points.

1. Price

Even if you are a beginner and are buying an electric guitar for the first time, you should already buy the very best quality that you can afford. Cheap guitars made of cheap materials and cheap labor equate to a poor sound that will diminish your performance as well as your playing pleasure. Cheap guitars can start at around $90 while good quality ones start at over $150 To be on the safe side, go with a trusted and well-known guitar manufacturer such as Fender, Gibson, and Les Paul. A good quality guitar should last a lifetime, thus it is an investment that is well worth saving up for.

2. Body

Electric guitars can be categorized into three different body types: solid-body, hollow body, and semi-hollow. The most common type of electric guitar used in rock and pop is the solid-body, which is made of solid wood and has the sound generated solely through the pick-up system. This type of guitar is ideal for loud amplification and sustain, and when various guitar effects are required. The hollow body electric guitar has two chambers cut into it, generating a sound that has more sonic resonance than a solid-body. Also called "jazz" guitars, hollow body provide an acoustic sound perfect for playing blues and jazz. This type of guitar is prone to feedback, however, when it is amplified at too high levels. Semi-hollow is the perfect choice if you wish to get the acoustic sound even with high levels of amplification.

3. Wood

The type of wood used to make the guitar affects the tone, sustain, and weight of the guitar. Expensive woods do not necessarily produce better quality sound, but different woods produce different types of sound. It is thus a matter of preference of what sounds good to your ears. Tone woods that have high strength and stability are the best woods for electric guitars. The most common of these are maple and mahogany.

4. Pickups

Most electric guitars have two pickups. The one closer to the fret produces a thicker bass-y sound, while the one closer to the bridge produces more treble or a twang-y sound. Below the pickups is a switch that allows you to blend the sound. Most guitars have three-position switch to choose from while others have a five-position switch that allows you to change the phase relationship of the pickups, producing more glassy tones. There are also some guitars that have three pickups; the extra pickup is placed at the middle and thus provides a mid-frequency sound for more blending options.

I have done extensive online research on Electric Guitars as well as Lessons for Beginners.
Electric Guitar Lessons For Beginners - How To Create Your Own Lesson Plan

When beginning to learn to play the electric guitar, it is a good idea to create your own lesson or practice plan and to set goals, both short term and long term, depending on what you want to achieve. Some questions to ask yourself are - why do I want to learn how to play, what do I want to play, and who do I wish to play like? Whether you wish to play for pleasure, want to form a band, desire to be a guitar god, or wish to study the instrument and theory seriously, it would be beneficial if you make a time line for your goals so that you can be sure you are progressing in your playing. Below are a few suggestions on the steps you can take to get yourself to learn the electric guitar.

1. Start with form and function

The most sensible thing to do if you want to learn how to play the electric guitar is to familiarize yourself with its various parts and to learn how to hold the instrument properly. Good form is very important in great guitar playing, and you want to get this right from the very start. Just like in sports, getting used to the right form and posture will make it easier for you to learn all the various chords, scales, and techniques. Bad form will just lead to bad playing habits sooner or later.

2. Tuning and strings

After buying an electric guitar, amplifier and cord, the next thing you should invest in is a reliable tuner. There is nothing more embarrassing than an out-of-tune guitar performance. Also, learn how to change the strings of your electric guitar and how to maintain and keep your guitar in top condition.

3 Learn chords and scales

You can actually play hundreds of songs with three chords. Chords are the building blocks of songs and some are easy to learn (A, E, D, C), while others take more time to get right (F, G, B). As any guitar player will tell you, practice is the only way you can progress in guitar playing. Try to memorize at least three chords a day, starting with the basics and moving on to more complex formations. Scales are used for melodies, guitar leads and for compositions. It involves mostly memorization of the positions of the appropriate notes on the fret board as well as ear training. Memorize at least one scale a week and practice it over and over, and you will master it in no time. Also, gradually increase the speed of your scale playing as well as your chord transitions so that it is easier for you to play almost any song. The best way to go by it is to practice with a metronome so that you can be sure your timing is right.

4. Play songs

Perhaps the most fun way of learning guitar is by playing songs that you like. Most people will start with pop and rock songs because these are the easiest and most everyone can sing along to them. Create a wish list of songs that you would like to play on the guitar, from the easiest to the hardest, and tick them off one by one until you can play them all.

5. Listen and watch

Listen to as much music as you can and watch the masters play their guitar. Note their expressions, feelings, energy, gestures and flow. No matter how good you get technically, you won't have a great impact if you can't feel the music.

I have done extensive online research on Electric Guitar Lessons for Beginners.
Learn To Play The Electric Guitar - How to Have Great Practice

As with any skill, learning to play the electric guitar requires the discipline of good practice habits. Practice that is on a planned basis will achieve the results required. Haphazard practice is almost always a waste of valuable time.

This article assumes that as a beginner you have chosen a good tutor or have signed up for one of better online electric guitar courses.

For a beginner, learning to play the electric guitar (or any guitar) involves good practice habits. The two main elements are:-

1. Practice must be on a regular and consistent basis

2. It must be "good" practice ie focused on specific objectives.

In this day and age there are dozens of alternative "things to do and see" that pose as distractions to the budding guitarist. It is therefore vitally important that you make a definite decision to practice consistently on a regular basis.

Experts suggest a minimum of ½ hour per day on at least 5 days each week. If you wish to progress more quickly, the practice time would need to be increased. It is also far better spreading your practice over a period of days rather than concentrate it into one session of say 3 or 4 hours per week.

Good practice with a definite objective for each session is also important.

1. Make sure you are in the right frame of mind for each session

2. Try to maintain your concentration for the whole session

3. Have your practice session objective clearly established

4. Generally, it's good to start with a short "warm up" session

5. The main body of your practice session should be given over to perfect something from a previous session, or to commence a new piece. It is during these sessions that your guitar playing will improve the most.

6. Finally, to end your practice session play a piece, or pieces, that you are comfortable with. This will leave you with a "feel good" memory to carry you on to your next practice session.

There is the well known phrase that "practice makes perfect".

In the case of learning to play the electric guitar for beginners, it is absolutely true.

I have done extensive online research on Electric Guitar Lessons for Beginners.

Musical instruments of advanced quality were produced by the Dean Guitar Company but it became extremely well known since the production of Dean Electric Guitar. It was Luther Dean Zelinsky who created Dean Electric Guitar during the year 1977. Zelinsky had a passion for guitars and so made craft guitars at an exceptionally young age. He created rock guitars with new design perception, since he believed the rock guitars to be of poor design and style. In 1970 the first model produced by him had pointed headstocks and bodies and since it had a rage look the production increased considerably.

One among the admirable creation of the company is the Dean electric guitar known as Razorback guitar. It was first designed by Dimebag Darrell before his death. Razorback model originates from USA. Due to its popularity Dean Electric Guitar decided to create the import Razorback model. Darrell was unlucky since he expired the day before he was supposed to schedule a special photo shoot along with Rust Razorback. Zelinsky beautifully crafted the model of Rust Razorback and Stephen Jensen finished it smoothly.

The Dean Electric Guitar Razorback is a variation of Dean Electric Guitar ML. In 2007 three more models of Dean Electric Guitar Razorback was produced. Razorback DB was produced with the intention of affordability since the USA Razorback was of high price those who could not afford to buy it bought this model. Later, Razorback 255 had a high neck of length 25.5 so 25 frets were available to reach high notes.

Model Razorback 7 was created 7 strings. The trademark Razorback model with double edged razor had a fret beside its neck. Famous Razorback players were The Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde and Ozzy Osbourne. The 3 designs were releases on 19th January 2008. The song of “Cemetery Gates” by Pantera was the primary one and guitar’s body had the lyrics written across it. The second one had a design which was diamond plated to honor the Razorbacks’ 10,000 models and was named the 10,000th Commemorative Razorback. The third one is designed for a left hander and similar ot Razorback Explosion.
